Mark Sloan is a New York and Nashville based composer, session musician, recording artist, and producer. He is currently composing music for the upcoming Paul Schrader film “The Card Counter.”

Sloan has toured and collaborated with a wide range of original artists, including Grammy-nominated Margo Price, Verve Forecast artist S.G. Goodman, Merge artist TORRES, Six Shooter artist Sam Outlaw, Single Lock artist Erin Rae, Oh Boy Records artist Kelsey Waldon, New West artist Andrew Combs, and more. 

He is the frontman and founder of indie rock band Slark Moan, and has contributed to records featured in Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, NPR, and other leading publications.

Sloan is a university trained Jazz guitarist and multi-instrumentalist proficient at keyboards, pedal steel, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, harmonica, bass, and drums. He has a wide range of stylistic expertise, including Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Country, Bluegrass, Rock, Pop, Folk, Blues, and Classical Guitar.
